Nationally acclaimed artist Nina Weiss will offer an intensive three day workshop: Beyond Green: Capturing Color in the Maine Landscape. Students will work plein-aire studying the inspirational landscapes around the peaceful harbor town of Corea. Emphasis of this workshop will be on rendering basic forms of the landscape, using line and gesture, and expanding the use of color in landscapes. Students will begin with compositional sketches and color studies and progress to works in the color medium of their choice. A review of color theory and color in nature and the landscape will begin this intensive workshop. Workshop is $215 and limited to 15 people
