Dr. Federico Nicolini is a professor of Organization Science in Italy at the University of Macerata, affiliated with Colorado State University, previously served as a consultant to the U.S. National Park Service, and is coauthor of the 2015 book “Parks and Territory: New Perspectives and Strategies.” His presentation will focus on challenges in protected area management in Italy, and Acadia National Park Superintendent Sheridan Steele will provide comparisons with challenges at Acadia. Dr. Nicolini’s presentation will follow a two-day workshop focused on climate change scenario planning for Acadia National Park, and immediately precede the annual Acadia Science Symposium and DEREN Convergence Conference, all hosted by Schoodic Institute.
