Frenchman Bay Conservancy: Protecting the Land You Love, a presentation by Aaron Dority, Executive Director, Frenchman Bay Conservancy.

Aaron Dority is the Executive Director of Frenchman Bay Conservancy, a 30 year old land trust serving the Union River and Frenchman Bay watersheds, east to the Hancock County line. In a partnership between Frenchman Bay Conservancy and Maine Coast Heritage Trust, Aaron is currently working to conserve critically important pieces of the “Schoodic to Schoodic” wildlife corridor beginning at Acadia National Park at Schoodic Point and extending north through the Maine State Reserve lands. The FBC-MCHT partnership was recently awarded a $1 million award through the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to conserve waterfowl and wading bird habitat.
Prior to serving as FBC’s Executive Director in 2014, Aaron was the Federal Policy Director for Penobscot East Resource Center, now Maine Center for Coastal Fisheries in Stonington. Aaron serves on the board of the Blue Hill Food Coop. He lives in Blue Hill with his wife Jessie and their three children.
